Friendly and informative networking for Glasgow creatives and freelancers. Currently taking place monthly on Zoom.
Our networking sessions take place once a month over Zoom. They are open to both Glasgow CAN members and non-members and are always FREE to attend. It is friendly, informal and a great opportunity to connect with fellow artists, freelancers and organisations. Each month we usually have a guest speaker or a particular topic or theme.

A FREE two hour Mini Festival online with 5 activities from Glasgow CAN members. Open to all.
Join us from the comfort of your own home for the The Glasgow CAN Mini Fest where we will bring you 5 x 20 minute activities / performances / sharing / tutorials to enjoy. Each activity will hosted by a Glasgow CAN member with a specialism in Participatory Arts, which could be anything from music to dance or comedy to craft!
The Mini Fest will be a celebration of just some of what Glasgow’s Participatory Arts scene has to offer with the chance to listen / watch / join in, ask questions, and chat with other festival attendees! In true festival spirit, we would like as many people from the wider community in Glasgow to get involved and enjoy what Glasgow CAN’s array of members have to offer, therefore feel welcome to invite your friends, family and whoever else might want to join in. This event is taking place as part of our #CreativeConnect networking programme.
Wednesday 27th January 2021, 11am - 12pm via Zoom
New Year…. New Connections! Join us for the first #CreativeConnect networking session of the year, hosted by Glasgow CAN. This year we are kicking things off with guest speaker and Glasgow CAN member Amparo Fortuny, who will be delivering a talk about Video Activism. Amparo will include an overview of video activism history and practical tips to have an impact with your videos, and there will be an opportunity for a Q&A also.
Our #CreativeConnect sessions are designed to be an informal way to connect with other Participatory Artists and Organisations in Glasgow. Each month we bring on board a guest speaker who delivers a 20 minute talk at the event about their practice or organisation, giving you the opportuntiy to learn and ask questions. It’s the perfect environment to connect with peers, meet new faces and strengthen your network and knowledge of what’s happening in the world of Participatory Arts. You do not have to be a Glasgow CAN member to join in.
