I am an artist who has worked in social care for years – bringing art groups to rehabs, working with adults in recovery from addiction, adults with learning disabilities and also vulnerable children.
My focus is on bringing the therapeutic benefits of creating art to people in crisis and I have established weekly art activities in many Glasgow recovery and homelessness venues, as well as custody alternatives.
As well as this I have worked with children affected by addiction in Glasgow, working either by myself or in conjunction with therapists to give them access and opportunity to use art for expression and personal benefit.
I have worked for years with adults with learning disabilities, often non-verbal, to bring them art groups that are fun and social.
I graduated from GSA painting in 2004 and have my own practice, exhibiting in several leading galleries.
