Lily Garget is a Scottish sculptor and textiles artist based in Glasgow. She is interested in exploring place, memory and landscape through texture, form and imagery. Working with materials such as mild steel and naturally dyed wool, Lily aims to create spaces in which people can gather, allowing occasions and memories to take place. Always inspired by shadows, Lily creates objects which hold traces of the body within them, pointing to a human presence – like shadows do but in a much more tangible, less ephemeral way.
Lily has worked on community projects with Rumpus Room, Studio Pavilion and Project Ability.
