I am a British-Italian artist currently based in Glasgow working across ceramics, drawing, writing and social art. Approaching my practice with warmth, I care for materials and communities through projects that explore themes of illness, healing, landscape and ritual. In recent works in clay, charcoal and text, I have been exploring how sediment changes throughout the course of a river; scraping, grinding, depositing, eroding, churning and settling and how this relates to our ever changing inner psycho-emotional landscapes.
With lived experience of chronic illness, accessibility is a key element to my practice. My aim is to cultivate a caring practice which nourishes my body and those around me.
Recent projects and residencies include: ‘Interdisciplinary Residency’ at Hospitalfield, Arbroath (2023), ‘Into the Wild’, residency at Wysing Arts Centre (2023), ‘Building Warmth’ was a social art commission I completed as part of ‘Social Art for Equality Diversity and Inclusion’ an AHRC fellowship led by Manchester Metropolitan University, Social Art Network & Axis (2022), ‘A Passing Place’ a duo show with Amelia Frances Wood at Assembly House (2021).
