Early years arts co-ordinator for Peek Project in Glasgow. Peek give opportunities to each and every kid. The idea behind play café is to use the creative arts with sensory, exploratory, imaginative and free play to explore weekly themes and provide learning opportunities to early years and their caregivers. As co-ordinator, I have to oversee how our Peekaboo play café evolves and I’m responsible for setting up additional venues. Working collaboratively with the NHS health improvement team I facilitate these opportunities and utilise my creative background to do so. Coming from a drama background and spent years working with early years theatrically i’m very lucky to channel my skills in this area within communities. I also utilise the skills of others by networking with different organisations to offer learning experiences to those that may not have the accessibility to do so.
