Overdrive is a dance company for boys and young men in Glasgow to become involved with dance. Through creative movement, the young people have a way to express themselves, work physically and discover their creativity. Overdrive is an open company for all boys interested in dance regardless of ability or experience. The vast age range of the company allows the members to learn from one another and offer peer support.
In collaboration with dance artists Hayley Earlam and Lucy Wild, the company create works that are highly physical, daring, tender and often humorous. By working collaboratively, the work is a reflection of the dancers themselves and ensures the young people’s voices are heard.
