SMPC is an arts centre dedicated to the promotion of masks, puppets and allied art forms. It combines the functions of a theatre, museum and education institute with specialised library, research and publications and on-line bookshop. There is a mask studio, marionette carving workshop, film and fx unit, training workshop; cafe, foyer and permanent display and exhibition areas. Our philosophy: “Kindle the joy of life, even in a stick”.
