Tricky Hat is a company that makes theatre with and about people who live on the
margins of our society. We work with people to find a creative and credible voice through participation in high quality, collaborative, cross-arts events alongside high calibre artists. We work in collaboration with agencies, artists and areas in Scotland and internationally.
We make work that resonates and has relevance to people’s lives, the issues they face as well as their hopes and dreams. We are inspired by their stories and perspectives and this drives our desire for their voices and visualisation to reach a wide audience.
The company has established itself in Scotland as an innovative leader working with older people. We also run projects with people with mental health issues, carers and young people.
We create Theatre and Digital Installations making the invisible, visible. We aim to challenge our audience and participants preconceived ideas.
